Hi everyone! The colour choices for this week’s When Colours Collide challenge were blue and green, which came up just over a year ago. I wasn’t happy with the design I did back then, so I was determined to improve on it this time round! I think I managed it…
What I Used:
(* affiliate links)
- Bonita Dali’s Memory (pastel green creme)
- Nails Inc The Serpentine (navy blue creme)
- MoYou London Beach House (light blue stamping polish)
- *Sally Hansen Blue Crush (electric blue metallic)
- *Born Pretty Store clear stamper
- *Pueen 45 stamping plate (from *Love Elements 24E set)
- Glisten & Glow topcoat
- *Liquid Latex
I started with two coats of Dali’s Memory, which looked green on it’s own, but has ended up more turquoise in the photos. *sigh*
Once that had dried, I then triple stamped each nail with this string of baubles design (I don’t know how else to describe it!), changing the alignment each time so that each layer was different. I love patterns like this that you can easily layer up, without obliterating the base polish completely!
Unfortunately, the light blue stamping polish I’d chosen pretty much disappeared into the base colour. It had looked ok when I compared bottles! I really must start testing stuff!
A coat of Glisten & Glow seals everything in, and good to go.
I struggle so much when the colours include green. Being able to stamp in green would open up more options, so maybe I should invest in a good green stamping polish – if you have any suggestions, leave them in the comments!
Here’s the finished collage for this week. If you’d like to take part in the current challenge (pink and black!) then join the When Colours Collide Facebook group where you’ll find all the instructions.
See you soon!
