Hi! I’ve got another random swatch to show you today. This is Tonic Polish Bleeding Heart Sunset. I seem to have a weakness for Tonic Polishes, my collection is growing slowly but surely. I haven’t found one yet that I don’t like!
Here’s the maker’s description of Bleeding Heart Sunset – “bleeding heart sunset is an orchid-lavender base with strong glowing pink multichrome shimmer that shifts to peach gold with scattered holo shimmer.”
That pink shimmer shows up loud and clear on my pics! I’m wearing three coats, plus Glisten & Glow topcoat.
I tried to catch the shimmer shifting to the golden shade, I just managed to get it on my middle finger:
I did find Bleeding Heart Sunset to be a touch on the thin side (as multichromes often are), and this coupled with the shimmer meant that it highlighted every little imperfection on my nails. Of which there were many, as I’d had a bad experience with a gel polish that wouldn’t come off not long before. If you suffer from ridges, I suggest a good thick filling basecoat first!
It is still a stunning polish though, and once I’ve buffed my nails smooth again it will look perfect on me 🙂 Definitely a worthy addition to my (ever-growing) Tonic collection!
Bleeding Heart Sunset is a limited edition, currently available from Rainbow Connection.
See you soon!
