(I wrote this over a week ago, and forgot to publish. Still a newb at this blogging lark.)
Hi Lovelies! I thought I’d get back into the When Colours Collide challenge again, but what a combo of colours to come back to! Brown, green and grey – what on earth do you do with those?
I don’t own many brown polishes – I do like them, but for some reason I don’t buy them. Green on the other hand, I don’t have many because I don’t like it much. And grey is just pretty meh (and again, I don’t have many). I couldn’t find the pale grey I was going to use, so ended up with a darker one. Once I’d lined up all the colours, I suddenly thought – camouflage!
What I Used:
- *Rimmel Moon (dark grey creme)
- *Morgan Taylor Later Alligator (green creme)
- Sally Hansen Forbidden Fudge (brown shimmer)
- Uberchic Texture-licious stamping plate
- *Born Pretty Store clear stamper
- Glisten & Glow HK Girl topcoat
I used the Texture-licious plate for my camouflage pattern – it’s not perfect, but was a quick and easy way to do it. The green didn’t show up very well over the grey, so I stamped it twice. I ended up stamping each nail three times (two green, one brown), rotating the stamper each time to make the random patterns. Ok, not so quick and easy then! Clean up was also a headache, that green is stubborn.
I’ll leave you with the collage – there seem to be a few poo-themed designs in there! Hopefully the next colour combo will be more inspiring!
Until next time,
