Hello! Mental health is a subject very important to me, as members of my family (including myself) have suffered with depression, agoraphobia and anxiety at various points in our lives. Anything that raises awareness of mental health issues is a good thing, so I wanted to highlight a nail related event happening this weekend.
Nailing Mental Health is an attempt to set a world record by painting 6078 people’s nails in 8 hours. It will take place at the Intercontinental Hotel at the O2 in London on April 2nd 2017, so if you are in the area, go and take part! It costs £5 to have your nails painted green (the colour of the mental health awareness ribbon) by one of the 350 trained maincurists donating their time. They will happily paint women and men’s nails, and also have child friendly polish available for the kids.
Full details of the event can be found at www.nailingmentalhealth.org.uk, including the full address and directions to the location and sponsor list.
If you can’t make it, how about supporting the event by painting your nails green and making a donation anyway?
Polishes used: Models Own Ebony Green topped with Shades Of Phoenix Bad Kitty
See you soon!
