Hi! It’s cold and grey here, but the daffodils are out so I can grudgingly admit that it’s spring. Bring on the spring sunshine! Today’s 26 Great Nail Art Ideas prompt is spring animals. Technically, what I’ve done isn’t an animal, but you do see them in the spring so it’s good enough for me. Plus I’ve wanted to do this mani for aaaages.
What I used:
- Rimmel Pillow Talk (pastel blue creme)
- Rimmel Breakfast In Bed (pastel green creme)
- Rimmel Daisy Days (yellow creme)
- Essence Stampy white
- NYC Grand Central Station (clear polish)
- Qgirl-003 stamping plate
- Makeup sponge
- Liquid latex
- Born Pretty Store clear stamper
- Uberchic Ubermat
- Sparkly Nails detail brush
I started by making decals of the ducklings – a couple of coats of clear Polish on my ubermat, then stamped the ducklings and painted them in yellow. I left them to dry for an hour or so.
To do my base colour, I painted each nail with two coats of Pillow Talk, then sponged on a gradient using Pillow Talk and Breakfast In Bed. Which looked really nice in person, but you can barely see it on the photos!
I then cut up my decals and applied the ducklings to my nails, and coated with HK Girl Glisten & Glow topcoat to finish off.
There you have it, spring ducklings!
