Hi there! Ever had that smug feeling when you’ve got all your planned manis done for the next week or so? And then you go and leave the photos on the camera, and completely forget to submit them before the deadline… Yeah that was me. Oops.
Anyway, the last prompt for the #aznailartchallenge was Baroque. I looked through Google images for some inspiration, and figured that gold stamping with lots of twiddly bits, over a rich dark base was the way to go.
What I used:
- Sally Hansen Insta-dri Wined Up (red shimmer)
- Essence Stampy black (black stamping polish)
- Barry M Gold Foil (gold stamping polish)
- Barry M matte topcoat
- HK Girl Glisten & Glow topcoat
- Born Pretty Store clear stamper
I started with two coats of Wined Up, which is a gorgeous red wine shimmery polish. Much as I love the polish, I’m not keen on the Insta-Dri bottles which are tall and slim. I find so much polish gets on the brush stem that it drips down and floods my nails pretty much every time I dip it in. Frustrating!
I stamped on my twiddly baroque style image in black, which I could barely make out over the dark red, then stamped again in gold.I didn’t make a note of what stamping plate I used unfortunately, and I can’t find the right one after a quick flick through. My life is so disorganised lately! I used glossy G&G topcoat to seal everything in, then a coat of matte topcoat to make it look velvety.
I’d worn these for a day or so before taking photos, so please excuse any tip wear.
The next prompt is Candy, I will try to get that one in on time!
See you soon,
