Hello! Something a little bit different to show you today – last month for my birthday Mr Magpie bought me an adorable silver ring with a cat on it. It came from an small jeweller on Etsy called Jewellery Furkeeps, and they specialise in the cutest animal designs in sterling silver. Pics after the jump!
As you can see, the ring consists of a main engraved band, with two 2mm spinner rings, one with a cat, one with a dark gem. You can just make out the 925 hallmark inside the main ring.
It sits very comfortably on my ring finger (though I usually wear it on my right hand). The two spinner rings are quite loose, so I do tend to lose them underneath a lot. It could be because I play with them constantly though!
These rings are made to order. You can choose from flower, heart or various gems for the top spinner – this is a gold bluestone. I wanted something dark. You also specify the ring size – mine was size O and it fits perfectly. If you don’t know your ring size, Jewellery Furkeeps sell a little plastic ring sizer, or you can pick them up on eBay for a pound.
Since it was a present for me, my boyfriend handled all the ordering, so I can’t really comment on that side of things, but he said it was easy, Anne (the jeweller) communicated with him to make sure everything was exactly what he wanted, and it arrived earlier than he expected, in plenty of time for my birthday! It was beautifully presented, in a study ring box, inside a small presentation box, and tied with a ribbon.
