#wearitpink – Breast Cancer Awareness month

Hello my lovelies! You may or may not know, but October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and everyone is encouraged to wear pink to show support. Nearly 55,000 people a year are diagnosed with breast cancer, thankfully if caught early enough, 85% of those survive. So ladies, and gents, it’s vitally important to check those assets! Lumps are a common sign of breast cancer, but they are not the only one. This graphic shows you what to look out for:

Many bloggers will be showing support by wearing pink manis, makeup or outfits. Search for the tags #wearitpink, #thinkpink, #BCAwareness, #BCAwarenessMonth and #copafeel on social media. Claire over at ‘Penny For Them‘ has done a great article on the awareness month and how you can help.

I’m going to join some other UK bloggers and do as many pink manis as I can this month. I’ve rummaged through my helmer and pulled out all my pink polishes ready to go!

I’m faintly embarrassed by how many there are!

Becca from ‘A Certain Becca Nails’ has started a pink link-up party. If you’d like to join in too, click the button below and add your pink mani to the link-up.

More pinkness to follow soon!
Love, Jo x

(P.S. go and cop a feel now!)
