Hello lovelies! Summer means sunshine, and that means holo polish! Right? Well… if only the British weather would co-operate! True to form, the moment I put this polish on my nails it clouded over and has been raining since. Bah.
Smitten Polish is a US indie maker, and I bought this polish from Rainbow Connection who are their authorised UK reseller. How to describe Antiquing? It’s sort of a cross between silver and gold, maybe silver with gold overtones? Bronze-ish? It’s certainly unique in my collection!
These photos were taken in overcast conditions, yet you can still see the holo rainbow. This is three thin coats of Antiquing, stamped over with Barry M Gold Foil, and a coat of HK Girl Glisten & Glow topcoat.
The pattern on my nails is from Pueen plate 73, which, like all the Pueen plates I own, is a joy to work with. Depending on the light, Antiquing leans silver which makes the stamping stand out, or gold and then it vanishes. Of course it looked amazing when the sun finally hit!
When the sun did arrive, I was out at work (typical!) but I did manage to grab a couple of shots on my phone.
It’s so pretty! I didn’t expect to love this mani as much as I do, and I will be sad to remove it. But so many more pretties out there to try next!
Smitten Polish is available in the UK from rainbow-connection.co.uk.
See you soon!
Love, Jo x
