#clairestelle8june challenge – Glitter Crelly

Hello again! Time for another challenge mani, and this time I’m only one day late posting them, I’m getting better! Today’s prompt is glitter crelly. My first thought was “do I own one?” Yes, I have a handful. “Is there one I want to wear?” That narrowed the choice down a lot. “What am I going to do with it?” Just plain nails for a nail art challenge seemed a bit of a cop out, so I brought out the stamping plates.

This is a combo that I’ve used before here, a base of Dollish Polish Live Long And Prosper with Barry M Silver Foil stamping. LLAP took three thin coats to get properly opaque, which did leave it a bit bumpy due to the glitters. I stamped the pattern using Pueen plate 65 and my Creative Shop stamper. I like how the glitters still peep out from under the stamping!

Because it was so bumpy, I finished off with two coats of INM Out The Door topcoat, this smoothed it out nicely and gave a lovely glassy shine. I’m really liking OTD lately, the only down side is that it takes a little longer to dry than HK Girl G&G or Seche Vite.

Don’t know what was going on with the lighting here, sorry! It does show the bright blue glitters off nicely though.

I’m happy with this mani, it will stay until the next prompt, which is stripes. Don’t make me do straight lines!

Until next time,
Love, Jo x
