Dollish Polish ‘Live Long and Prosper’

I fancied something blue today. No, not a smurf. I picked Dollish Polish ‘Live Long and Prosper’ since I haven’t tried it out yet. Live Long and Prosper is a cornflower blue shimmery crelly, containing gold and blue glitter, and little dark stars. Here it is, three coats plus a coat of of Seche Vite.

Lots more pics after the jump!

Application was a little bit tricky, I found that the polish retreated from my cuticles and tips as it dried, leaving little bald patches. You can also see from the pic that most of the big glitter got dragged to the end of my nails. There were a few stray bits of glitter that wouldn’t lie flat, I had to put an extra coat of SV over one nail to smooth it out.

I wore this for a day, its a nice looking polish but I wasn’t wowed by it. I decided to stamp some stars over the top (continuing the space theme!) using Barry M silver foil.

I think that really livens it up! The silver gives it a bit of a lift, and works really well against the dark glitters.

Wonky stamping!

Sorry about the huge cuticule gap there, that’s how it shrank drying!

I like the effect although my stamping is still dodgy! I tried using the stamper from one of the Poundland kits, which I found worked better than my Konad one. I still have trouble covering my whole nail though – not only are my nails very curvy (almost C shaped) but also curve down slightly at the tips. I wonder if a bigger stamper would help?

Love,
